Bhubaneswar: 23/12:(odiannews):Government of Odisha has taken the decision to give ,10 thousand rupees per anum to small and micro farmers for Rabi and Kharif farming, which is non refundable . The landless farmers will be assisted with 12, 500 rupees under livelihood mission. For the farmers and the landless farm labourers the government will provide 2 lakh Rupees of life insurance coverage and in case of accidental death 2 lacs of extra benefit will be provided .Not only that ,the loan of rupees 50,000 will be given to the farmers, without any interest. The project KALIA (Krusak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) is launched on the day before yesterday . When Congress is waiving off the loans for farmers in three states, there was a pressure on the govt and the Chief Minister of Odisha. Finally, the project KALIA, come to power, considering most genuine in concern to farmers on the context of waive off the loans . The Chief Minister said ,at least 92% of farmers will be benefited under this plan. Not only farmers but landless and agriculture labourers will be benefited under the scheme. The money will be deposited directly in their passbooks under DIB scheme. Within 3 years, the government is going to spend 10 ,280 crores of Rupees for this scheme.
