Terrorism Among Key Issues To Be Raised By India In UN General Assembly
India will raise issues like terrorism, climate change and United Nations reforms in the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, India's permanent representative to the United Nations, Syed Akbaruddin said on Sunday.
"India considers UN as an international platform. So, our issues are of international nature. There should be reform in the United Nation and this is our first big issue. The second issue is the terror, as you all know that terrorism is an important and serious issue not only in Asia or India but in every country. Every country is facing problems because of it. The third issue is climate change," he told ANI.
He further said that UN peacekeeping will also be one of the important issues to be raised in the General Assembly. "As you know that Indian Army is a part of UN peace keeping force in many African states so peace keeping is also one of the issues. So, climate change, peacekeeping, reforms and terror will be our focus areas," he added.
