Bhubaneswar 4 Sep : A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made an emergency landing at the airport here Monday due to some technical snag, an official said.
40 minutes after taking off from Biju Patnaik International Airport, the aircraft made its landing.BPIA Director Prasanna Pradhan stated, “After the detection of technical issues mid-air, the Delhi-bound IndiGo flight made the emergency landing at the airport at 8:20am.The plane safely landed at the airport after a full-scale emergency was declared, he said.”Every passenger is secure. We believe that a bird strike caused the technical issue, the official said, adding that the aircraft can only take off again after receiving approval from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.Trinath Lenka, a passenger on the flight, said, “Shortly after takeoff, the pilot informed us about the technical problem and the aircraft made the landing at the Bhubaneswar airport safely.”
