Odissa education minister Sameer das reveals that 1003 schhols in state runs without headmaster.

Bhubaneswar, November 24 : As many as 1,003 government high schools in Odisha are running without headmasters, said School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash in a reply to a question in the Assembly on Sunday .

Besides, 280 fully-aided private schools in the state have no headmasters, the minister said.

Replying to question on closing of schools in different districts in Odisha, the Minister said that a total of 7,772 primary and upper primary schools have been proposed for consolidation in the state.
