Berhampur August 14: An eight years old girl from Odisha has made it to the \u2018India Book of Records\u2019 by becoming the youngest author to write Ramayana.<\/p>\n

A native of Berhampur in Ganjam district, Ishita Achary has written a summary of the world famous epic in English language in 57 pages within 22 days.<\/p>\n

Ishita is presently staying in Chennai with her parents and studies in Class-III in NSN Memorial School.<\/p>\n

On her praiseworthy feat, Ishita\u2019s family says that she started writing the book in May after the watching the re\u2013telecast of Ramanand Sagar\u2019s iconic TV serial Ramayana during COVID-19 lockdown.<\/p>\n

\u201cI used to watch the re-telecast of Ramayana daily and write stories. My parents and family have always supported me. I am happy that I have found a place in \u2018India Book of Records\u2019 as the youngest to write Ramayana,\u201d said Ishita.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ishita\u2019s father Sanjeet Achary said the family is proud on her achievement. \u201cSince childhood, she was attracted towards Ramayana, Mahabharata and other mythological stories. She is often curious to know and that is what helped her to achieve this feat.\u201d<\/p>\n

She has been writing short stories since a very young age. She used to watch the telecast of Ramayana during lockdown and share stories with us. Later, she decided to write Ramayana and completed it on 22 days. We are happy and proud of our daughter,\u201d said Ishita\u2019s mother, Rashmita.
