The amount of rainfall is expected to increase from Saturday, informed the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre today.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe low-pressure area that formed over west-central and adjoining north-west Bay of Bengal off south Odisha coast on Thursday lies in the same region today morning. Under its influence, 13 districts of the State are expected to witness heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours, informed scientist at IMD Bhubaneswar, Umashankar Das.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 13 districts include Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Puri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundergarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh and Kandhamal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Das mentioned that the amount of rainfall is likely to increase after 24 hours, added Das.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The coastal and north-coastal parts of Odisha including Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Puri, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Balasore have been experiencing heavy rainfall since the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) P K Jena yesterday issued an advisory to district collectors asking them to closely monitor the situation and keep continuous vigil on low-lying areas and take steps for dewatering wherever necessary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Earlier, the Bhubaneswar Met Centre had predicted heavy to very heavy showers in the State till October 5.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Heavy rainfall is expected to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Angul on Friday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Met Office has predicted heavy rainfall warning at one or two places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Boudh, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Cuttack, Jajpur and Bhadrak districts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Similarly, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected to occur at one or two places over Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi while heavy rainfall to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Kandhamal, Boudh, Angul and Bargarh districts on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p
