Bhubaneswar July 5 : Candidates displeased over the evaluation of Matric examinations can fill up forms from today for the special offline examinations to be held this month.<\/p>\n
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), the exam conducting body had earlier directed to finish the form fill up exercise within 10 days. The BSE had clarified that students have to fill up the form through online mode. No fee for the same is required, it said.<\/p>\n
The tests will be conducted in the current month and results will be published within a fortnight, the School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash had said earlier.<\/p>\n
The candidates will be writing with 70% syllabus as the Board had earlier reduced 30% courses after classroom teachings were hampered due to the Covid 19 pandemic.<\/p>\n
Covid-19 protocols will be strictly followed during the examinations. It will be completed by August 5, 2021, the Minister had informed earlier.<\/p>\n
Measures will be taken for the smooth enrolment of the students in Plus-2. They will not face any problems in admissions into plus two courses, Dash had added.<\/p>\n
The Board had decided to conduct special examinations through offline mode for the students who were unhappy over their marks in the assessment.<\/p>\n
The decision came in the wake of the controversy arising out of the alleged less marks awarded to a section of students.<\/p>\n
A state-wide students unrest was witnessed with students and guardians hitting the streets at several places demanding revaluation of results. They had alleged that some students were awarded good marks while they were given the category B grade even as they claimed to have the ability to score a good percentage.<\/p>\n
