CBI seized MDMA worth 20 lakh from Nigerian woman

New Delhi 3 Sep : A Nigerian woman was detained by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) police on suspicion of drug trafficking, and 400 gm of MDMA worth Rs 20 lakh was taken from her .

She was taken into custody by CCB investigators on Sunday from a hideout in Bengaluru, according to police sources. In seven cases that were filed in Mangaluru, she is the primary defendant.She was found to be in possession of up to 400 gm of MDMA worth Rs 20 lakh, a mobile phone, and Rs 2,910 in cash total.Aisha reportedly arrived in India on a student visa and was also employed as a nurse. After quitting her job, she started selling MDMA.The apprehended suspects had bought the drug from Aisha in the seven NDPS cases that were registered in the police stations at Ullal, Mangaluru North, Kankanady, Konaje, Surathkal, and CEN.They said that she was brought before the court and remanded for 15 days in judicial custody.
