Rain, Thunderstorm To Lash Several Odisha Districts In Next 48 Hours

Bhubaneswar April 4 : Hail storm and thunderstorm activities in several parts of the State on Saturday provided much needed relief to people after days of scorching heat condition. There will be no considerable change in the weather in the next couple of days, predicted India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday.

As per the latest weather bulletin, rain and thunderstorm activities will continue in several parts of Odisha till April 6.

Here is detail weather outlook:

Light to moderate rain or thundershower likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Khodha, Ganjam, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh and at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Kalahandi, Gajapati, Bolangir, Nuapada, Jharsuguda, Boudh, Puri, Kandhamal.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm and lightning accompanied with hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Khurda, Ganjam, Sonepur, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Sundargarh.

Light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Rayagada, Koraput, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bhadrak and Balasore.

As per IMD, hail storm was reported in several parts of Phulbani, Boudh and some parts of south interior Odisha in the past 24 hours.Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower has occurred at a few places over the districts of south interior Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of Deogarh, Gajapati and Keonjhar.
