Puri Jun 27 : Odisha Director General of Police Sunil Bansal today reviewed the preparations for the world famous Ratha Yatra.
The DGP held discussions with the senior officials of the district about the preparations at a meeting held at the Town Hall.
Odisha police is going to make its biggest ever deployment of forces for smooth management of the Yatra which is going to be held on the 1st of June. While 189 platoons of police forces will be deployed, 192 police officers will be on the field for smooth conduct of the Yatra. It was also decided that more than 2400 home guards will also be engaged at various places.
