India jumps 45% in Covid cases with 17,073 fresh COVID-19 cases in 24 hrs

NewDelhi Jun 27 : India’s tally of COVID-19 infections rose by 17,073 in a day, the active caseload currently stands at 94,420, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday and now comprise 0.21 per cent of the total infections.

The national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 98.57 per cent, the health ministry said.

The daily positivity rate was recorded at 5.62 per cent while the weekly positivity rate was 3.39 per cent, according to the health ministry.

There were 15,208 recoveries in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,27,87,606. A total of 86.10 crore tests have been conducted so far; 3,03,604 tests conducted in the last 24 hours.

The country has administered 197.11 crore vaccine doses so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
